American performing artist Danté Harrell attended North Carolina Central University and Norfolk State University where he earned the bachelor’s of arts and the master’s of music degrees respectively. Danté’s love for music transcends genre and some of his most recent performance accomplishments include his service as music director for The St. Nick’s Pub Reunion Experience, The Yaya Theater Company in Shenzhen, China, The Harlem Musical Theater Festival, Norwegian Cruise Line’s Syd Norman’s Pour House, The Berkshire Theater Group’s Production of Nina Simone: Four Women, a very successful international Japanese tour with Phillip Boykin and The New York Gospel Brothers, a commanding portrayal of the title role in the musical The Wiz directed by Linda Twine, and headlining performances at 54Below and Chez Josephine.
